Dana Brown Returns to Braves as Senior Advisor
Former Astros general manager Dana Brown is returning to Atlanta as a senior advisor of amateur scouting, reuniting with the club where he worked before Houston.

The Atlanta Braves have reunited with Dana Brown, bringing the former Houston Astros general manager back to the organisation as a senior advisor of amateur scouting. The move, reported by MLB Trade Rumors and confirmed by Bob Nightengale, returns Brown to a club he worked for before heading to Houston. Brown's return is one of the first front-office moves of the offseason, coming as clubs reset after the World Series. Atlanta's amateur scouting operation will now draw on an executive with long experience of building farm systems, a role that fits Brown's background before his time running the Astros' baseball operations. The Braves are not the only club making early-November decisions. Tampa Bay has already picked up Drew Rasmussen's $20 million option and finalised Yandy Díaz's contract, while several option calls across the league were settled on Saturday.
