New Zealand's injury troubles have deepened, with opener Devon Conway ruled out of the remainder of the home one-day series against India because of concussion. The 35-year-old collided with team-mate Matt Henry during a fielding drill at training last week and missed the series opener in Auckland, which India won by five wickets. Medical staff have now confirmed he will sit out the remaining four matches, with the aim of having him fit for the two-Test series that begins in Wellington on November 19. There was better news for Henry, who has been cleared of concussion and is in contention to return for the second ODI in Wellington on Saturday. Left-handed batter Nick Kelly has been named as Conway's replacement and will join the squad in Wellington on Friday. New Zealand were already without all-rounder Rachin Ravindra and batter Mark Chapman for the whole ODI series, leaving the hosts short of batting options as they try to level the series after India's opening win. Conway's absence is a further blow to a top order that managed only 185 in the first match at Eden Park, where Virat Kohli's 74 off 51 balls guided India home under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.
