CeeDee Lamb Hurts Quad in Cowboys' Loss to Buccaneers, but Injury "Not Considered Serious"
Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb injured his quadriceps in Thursday's 24-16 loss to Tampa Bay and played just one fourth-quarter snap, though early reports call it a minor quad bruise.

The Dallas Cowboys' Thursday night misery was compounded by an injury to their biggest offensive weapon, as star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb hurt his quadriceps in the 24-16 home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Lamb left the game and managed only a single snap in the fourth quarter at AT&T Stadium, forcing Dallas to lean on backups down the stretch. With Lamb sidelined, KaVontae Turpin handled the bulk of the receiving work in the final period while Jonathan Mingo and Ryan Flournoy also saw extended action. George Pickens carried the passing game with nine catches for 130 yards and a touchdown, most of it coming late.
The early prognosis, however, is encouraging. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Lamb is believed to be dealing with a quad bruise that is "not considered to be serious," a welcome relief for a Cowboys team already reeling from its fourth loss of the season.
Dallas was stunned by Tampa Bay rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels and running back Bucky Irving, whose career-high 165 rushing yards powered the previously winless Buccaneers to their first victory. The Cowboys now face a short week of recovery questions, with Lamb's status for next week's game the one to watch.
