Cardinals Poach Ex-Top-10 Tackle Jedrick Wills Off Bills' Practice Squad
The Arizona Cardinals signed former Browns No. 10 overall pick Jedrick Wills Jr. off Buffalo's practice squad on October 6 to shore up their line after Paris Johnson Jr.'s season-ending biceps tear.

The Arizona Cardinals wasted no time replacing Paris Johnson Jr., signing former first-round tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. off the Buffalo Bills' practice squad on Tuesday, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.
Johnson, the Cardinals' starting left tackle, was placed on injured reserve the same day after suffering a season-ending biceps tear on Sunday. Head coach Mike LaFleur confirmed seventh-round rookie Jayden Williams will start in his place when the Cardinals host the Lions this weekend, with Wills — who owns 57 career starts at left tackle — providing experienced depth behind him.
Wills, 27, was the No. 10 overall pick by Cleveland in the 2020 draft and started 45 games across his first three seasons before knee injuries derailed him: eight appearances in 2023, four in 2024, and no regular-season snaps since. He spent 2025 rehabbing, signed with Chicago in March, was cut at camp, and had been stashed on Buffalo's practice squad since late August.
The Cardinals also placed tight end Hunter Long (knee) on injured reserve and promoted tight end Teagan Quitoriano from the practice squad. Arizona sits at 1-3 entering Week 5 with three starters going down on Sunday.
