Buccaneers Beat Falcons 16-0 Without Completing a Single Pass
Tampa Bay beat Atlanta 16-0 in driving rain despite Baker Mayfield going 0-for-3, becoming the first NFL team since the 1974 Bills to win without a completion.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers pulled off one of the strangest wins in modern NFL history on Sunday, beating the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 at Raymond James Stadium without completing a single pass. In a downpour that turned the game into a mud bath, quarterback Baker Mayfield attempted just three throws and completed none, yet Tampa Bay never looked in trouble. The run game did all the damage: Bucky Irving carried 27 times for 170 yards and scored the game's only touchdown, a four-yard run late in the third quarter, while Kenneth Gainwell added a career-high 140 yards on 25 carries. Together they powered a franchise-record 324 rushing yards on 56 attempts. The defence was just as dominant, intercepting Michael Penix Jr. four times — two by Alex Anzalone — as Atlanta managed only 224 total yards. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tampa Bay became the first team since the Buffalo Bills in 1974 to win a game without completing a pass. Both teams now sit at 3-5, but only one left the rain with a piece of history.
