Devin Booker scored 30 points and dished out eight assists as the Phoenix Suns beat the Orlando Magic 117-104 on Thursday night at Mortgage Matchup Center, ending a four-game losing streak. Booker had 23 of his points before half-time, shooting 11-of-22 from the field with four three-pointers, and the Suns never trailed after the opening minutes. Dillon Brooks added 24 points with four threes, Miles Bridges posted 18 points and a season-high 13 rebounds, and reserve Luke Kennard chipped in 12 points as Phoenix hit 17 of 34 shots from beyond the arc. The Suns took control with a 29-16 run to close the third quarter, stretching the lead to 96-73 before it ballooned to 30 early in the fourth. Orlando mounted a late push but never got closer than 13. Wendell Carter Jr. led the Magic with 27 points and 13 rebounds, and Franz Wagner recorded a career-high 15 assists to go with 15 points and eight rebounds. But Orlando, still without Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs and Jonathan Isaac, turned the ball over 25 times, and the Suns turned those mistakes into 36 points. Phoenix improved to 2-5 with the win, splitting the first two games of a season-long seven-game homestand, while the Magic fell to 2-6 with a third straight defeat.
