Boldy Leads Wild Past Flyers as Point Streak Reaches Six

Minnesota just keeps picking up points. The Wild extended their point streak to six games with a 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night, a result that also stretched their road winning run to five straight and underlined why they are one of the form teams in the NHL right now. Matt Boldy led the way with a goal and an assist, opening the scoring before Michael McCarron, Joel Eriksson Ek and Danila Yurov added the others. Jesper Wallstedt made 23 saves, and Yurov's empty-net goal late on sealed a win that never quite slipped from Minnesota's grasp despite a Flyers push. At 11-3-3, the Wild are 5-0-1 across their last six, and they lead the league conversation with 20 first-period goals. Philadelphia, by contrast, are 1-3-1 in their last five, with Tyson Foerster and Denver Barkey scoring and Dan Vladar stopping 18 shots. The Flyers made it 3-2 early in the third, but Minnesota answered and closed the game out professionally. Good teams win games like this on the road, and right now Minnesota look very much like a good team.
