Bills Face Tackle Trouble Before Monday Night as Dawkins and Brown Both Land on Injury Report

The Buffalo Bills could have a serious problem at offensive tackle heading into Monday Night Football. Starting left tackle Dion Dawkins missed practice on Thursday because of a rib injury, while right tackle Spencer Brown remained limited with the back problem that kept him out of Sunday's win over the Baltimore Ravens. It leaves Buffalo's protection of Josh Allen in doubt for one of the biggest games of the season, with the 6-1 Bills visiting the 6-1 Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Monday night. The Bills also practised without wide receiver Joshua Palmer, who hurt his hamstring against Baltimore, defensive tackle Greg Gaines with a calf injury, and running back Ty Johnson through illness. Four Buffalo players did not practise on Thursday and six more were limited as preparations began for the trip to Minneapolis. Brown has been troubled by his back since Buffalo's Week 5 win over the Los Angeles Rams, and his absence on Sunday showed how thin the cover can be. With both starting tackles now on the injury report, the Bills' offensive line depth faces a real test against a Vikings defence preparing for a prime-time stage.
