Barcelona Learn 'Substantial' Asking Price for Leeds Defender Muharemovic
Barcelona have reportedly been told Leeds United value centre-back Tarik Muharemovic at more than £60m amid interest in a summer move.

Barcelona have reportedly learned just how expensive a move for Tarik Muharemovic would be, with Leeds United said to value their centre-back at more than £60 million. According to a report carried by Sports Mole on Wednesday, the Spanish champions are giving serious consideration to a move for the Bosnia-Herzegovina international in next summer's transfer window, but Leeds are determined to keep hold of a player they only signed this summer.
Muharemovic, 23, joined Leeds from Sassuolo for £34 million and has made an immediate impression in England, scoring once and providing two assists in ten appearances this season, including two assists in eight Premier League matches. His form has reportedly drawn attention from more than one European heavyweight, with Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund also credited with interest, although a January exit is described as incredibly difficult.
The defender, who is under contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2031, began his professional career with Wolfsberger AC in Austria before moving to Italy and then England. For Barcelona, the reported price tag sets a clear marker: any summer pursuit would require a major fee for a young defender still early in his Premier League career. For Leeds, the message is equally clear — their summer signing is not for sale on the cheap, and any bidding war would start well above what they paid.
