Arteta Signs New Four-Year Arsenal Deal to Become Premier League's Best-Paid Manager
Mikel Arteta has signed a new four-year Arsenal contract worth up to £25 million a year, making him the highest-paid manager in the Premier League after leading the club to its first league title in 22 years.

Mikel Arteta has committed his future to Arsenal, signing a new four-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2030 and make him the best-paid manager in the Premier League. The 44-year-old's new agreement is worth up to £25 million a year, with a basic salary of around £20 million plus bonuses for success — a significant rise on his previous terms of roughly £12 million a year plus £3 million in bonuses, which had one year left to run. Arteta, the longest-serving manager across England's top four divisions since taking over in December 2019, earned the deal by ending the Gunners' 22-year wait for the league title in May. Arsenal also reached the Champions League final this year, losing to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties, and had earlier won the FA Cup in his first season. Backed with a net spend of about £850 million, Arteta rebuilt Arsenal into champions and has now tied himself to the club through its 140-year history's newest chapter. Arsenal have also opened contract talks with several key players, including Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz.
