Alexander's Final-Round 64 Seals Wistron Ladies Open Title in Taiwan

South Africa's Casandra Alexander produced a final-round masterclass on Sunday, firing an eight-under-par 64 to capture the Wistron Ladies Open at Sunrise Golf and Country Club in Taiwan. Alexander overturned a one-stroke deficit against 54-hole leader Ching Huang of Taiwan, finishing at 21 under par with rounds of 64, 71, 68 and 64 to beat England's Hannah Screen by three strokes. The victory is her third title of the season and the fourth of her Ladies European Tour career, continuing a remarkable campaign that has already brought wins at the KPMG Women's Irish Open in August and the Buccellati Ladies Italian Open in late September. It also follows five runner-up finishes earlier in the year, a run that makes this latest breakthrough all the more satisfying. As the LET Order of Merit leader, Alexander tightened her grip on the season-long crown and moved closer to securing it before the tour's final event in Spain, which would leave her free to approach the LPGA Q-Series in the United States without that pressure. Her Sunday surge, built on confident putting and steady ball-striking, was the performance of a player at the peak of her powers.
