Alcaraz and Ferrero Set for First Meeting Since Split at ATP Finals
Carlos Alcaraz and former coach Juan Carlos Ferrero are set to cross paths for the first time since their split, with Ferrero expected in Turin for the ATP Finals.

Carlos Alcaraz and Juan Carlos Ferrero are on course for an emotional reunion at the ATP Finals in Turin, the first time the pair will be at the same tournament since their coaching partnership ended last December.
According to Spanish newspaper MARCA, Ferrero has been invited to the season-ending event as a member of the ATP's Number 1 Club, setting the stage for a meeting with his former pupil. The pair worked together for more than seven years, a period in which Alcaraz won the first six Grand Slam titles of his career, before one of the most significant coaching splits in recent tennis history.
Ferrero addressed the prospect in a MARCA interview earlier this month, saying enough time had passed for them to meet in a relaxed way. "It has been long enough now for us to be able to see each other in a relaxed way and share a hug," he said. "When that day comes, it would certainly be a positive thing for both of us."
His presence does not signal a professional reunion: Alcaraz continues to work with Samuel López, while Ferrero has said he intends to return to coaching in 2027. The ATP Finals run from November 15 to 22 at the Inalpi Arena, with Alcaraz qualified for a fifth straight year alongside Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton. Jannik Sinner will miss the event after ending his season with a knee injury.
