Albert Arenas Crowned 2026 World Supersport Champion After P4 Finish at Estoril
Albert Arenas sealed the 2026 World Supersport title with three races to spare, finishing fourth at Estoril as Tom Booth-Amos won for Triumph.

Albert Arenas is the 2026 World Supersport champion. The Spanish rider finished fourth in Saturday's Race 1 at Estoril — enough to wrap up the title with three races still to spare in a season he has dominated from the front. The race itself belonged to PTR Triumph. Tom Booth-Amos edged teammate Oli Bayliss by just 0.075 seconds in a photo finish, delivering the manufacturer's first-ever WorldSSP one-two, with Jeremy Alcoba completing the podium in third. For Arenas, fourth place was all that mattered. The crown is his second world title after the 2020 Moto3 championship, making him only the second rider in history after Sandro Cortese to win titles in both categories. In his rookie World Supersport campaign he has reached the podium in 16 of 21 races, 11 of them as runner-up — a model of consistency that made the title a matter of when, not if. The new champion celebrated with his team at the Circuito Estoril as the championship now turns toward its final rounds with the title fight settled.
