Adrian Meronk Has "No Intention" of Signing With LIV 2.0, Following Jon Rahm Out the Door

Days after winning the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Adrian Meronk has reportedly decided against joining the rebooted LIV 2.0, following Jon Rahm in rejecting the breakaway circuit's new terms.

Adrian Meronk Has "No Intention" of Signing With LIV 2.0, Following Jon Rahm Out the Door

Adrian Meronk has no intention of signing with LIV 2.0, according to a report from Eurosport journalist Jacek Person, making the Pole the second high-profile defection this week after Jon Rahm formally walked away from the rebooted circuit. Rahm's representatives announced in bankruptcy court on Wednesday that the proposed terms for LIV 2.0 were "unacceptable" and that the Spaniard "will not be participating going forward." The irony is rich: both Rahm and Meronk joined the original LIV Golf in late 2023, with Meronk arriving fresh off being named the 2023 European Tour player of the year. The timing could hardly be better for Meronk. The 33-year-old, who grew up in Poland before playing collegiately at East Tennessee State, won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship on Sunday by two strokes — his fifth DP World Tour title — which also secured him full European tour membership for 2027, a valuable insurance policy with LIV Golf going through Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Meronk admitted after the win that his future was "a little bit unknown," saying he came back to Europe after the LIV season to keep his playing rights and would now re-evaluate his schedule and goals. The Dunhill triumph appears to have made that decision for him.
