11 PGA Tour Cards Still Up for Grabs as Korn Ferry Season Finale Tees Off in Virginia
The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season comes down to this week's Korn Ferry Tour Championship in Virginia, where the top 60 players battle for 20 PGA Tour cards — nine are already locked in, leaving 50 players fighting for the remaining 11 spots.

The road to the PGA Tour runs through Glen Allen, Virginia, this week. The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season reaches its dramatic conclusion with the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia's Richmond Region, the 25th and final tournament of the season, played October 8-11 at The Federal Club. When the last putt drops, the top 20 players on the season points list will secure PGA Tour cards for 2027 — the ultimate prize in professional golf's developmental ranks. The player who finishes No. 1 earns even more: exemptions into the 2027 Players Championship and the 2027 U.S. Open. Defending champion Chandler Blanchet returns to the par-71, 7,073-yard layout, where a $1.5 million purse is on offer. Nine players have already sealed their promotion: Sandy Scott, Ross Steelman, Ian Holt, Alvaro Ortiz, Doc Redman, Cole Sherwood, Alistair Docherty, Tommy Morrison and Hunter Eichhorn. That leaves 50 players chasing 11 remaining cards. Those ranked 43rd to 60th need a win to have any chance of cracking the top 20. The field features two PGA Tour winners in Adam Hadwin and S.Y. Noh, plus 33 Korn Ferry Tour winners combining for 48 career victories. The only eligible player missing is No. 19 Ben Kohles, who is instead competing in the PGA Tour's Baycurrent Classic in Japan.
